The world system of socialism has just entered its third decade of existence. This period was long enough for the commonwealth of socialist countries to become the most important factor of universal progress, the main revolutionary force of the epoch. The countries of socialism have accumulated vast experience in implementing radical socio-economic transformations, creating a new type of international relations, strengthening a close and fruitful alliance with the international workers ' and national liberation movement, and fighting for ensuring lasting peace and security of peoples. The emergence of the world socialist system marked the beginning of a new era in the development of mankind, the era of socialism going beyond the borders of one country and turning it into an international force.
