Viva the Outpost !
For the past two decades, the military university has been home to the vocal and instrumental band "Forpost". Throughout its short life, the band has faced numerous challenges, but it has managed to maintain its creative individuality and musical originality. Today's "Forpost" gives 40 to 60 concerts annually. It should be noted that the musicians are not released from their official duties. However, they are all teachers at the Military University of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The ensemble includes colonels Alexander Demidov and Yuri Penkov, as well as officers Igor Lukash and Mikhail Zarin. "Forpost" is an active participant in the "Victoria" soldier's song contests and various festivals. The ensemble's repertoire includes over 200 pieces. "Forpost" can be seen on television, and the group regularly performs at Moscow's city celebrations. At the first Moscow International Army Song Festival "Vivat Victory!", the group won the Grand Prix. Recently, the ensemble returned from a concert tour in the North Caucasus, where they performed for the military personnel of the Joint Group of Forces with their new program. page 3
