истории итальянского воссоединения. Особое значение этот библиографический обзор приобретает ввиду новых публикаций, появившихся после правительственного декрета 6 декабря 1918 г., по которому итальянские государственные архивы стали доступны для историков по всем делам до 1867 года. Интересно отметить для современного состояния исторической науки в США, что этот обзор сделан на основании американских коллекций по итальянской истории, принадлежащих Гарвардскому университету, который, в свою очередь, приобрел их у наследников известного историка Нельсона Гея.
