This article examines the systemic threats that the activities of Palantir Technologies pose to human rights, civil liberties, and democratic institutions worldwide. Based on analysis of public reports from human rights organizations, lawsuits, journalistic investigations, and official statements, the multifaceted picture of risks associated with the implementation of mass surveillance and data analysis technologies is reconstructed. Particular attention is devoted to three key areas of criticism: complicity in Israel's war crimes in the Gaza Strip, facilitation of mass deportation of migrants in the United States, and the creation of total police control systems in Europe.

In this article, the phenomenon of anti-personnel mines as a type of weapon posing a particular humanitarian threat is examined. Based on an analysis of international conventions, statistical data, and historical evidence, a comprehensive picture is reconstructed of the impact of this weapon on civilian populations, the international community's efforts to ban it, and current trends related to the withdrawal of a number of states from the Ottawa Treaty. Special attention is paid to defining anti-personnel mines, their classification, the history of their use, and the current state of the problem.
In this article, the issue of the causes of Jeffrey Epstein's long-standing impunity, the American financier accused of organizing a network of sexual exploitation of minors, is examined. Based on an analysis of the chronology of investigations, court documents, and expert opinions, the mechanism by which the offender was able to avoid real punishment for more than a decade and a half is reconstructed. Special attention is given to the factors that ensured his impunity: a privileged social status, connections with the elites, corrupt deals with prosecutors, and systemic flaws in the American justice system.
In this article, the question of the number of human casualties associated with the use of the Kalashnikov assault rifle throughout its history is examined. Based on an analysis of available statistical estimates, historical evidence, and expert conclusions, the range of probable figures is reconstructed, and the methodological difficulties of such calculations are explored. Special attention is given to comparing various sources, to annual lethality figures, and to the AK’s place among other weapons in terms of lethality.
